TRANG HUYNH

Alex Chan

Born and raised in Vietnam, Trang held the title of the No. 1 women’s tennis player in the country for six consecutive years. She went on to compete professionally on the WTA Tour, achieving world rankings in both singles and doubles before moving to the United States to play college tennis at Washington State University.

Trang was introduced to pickleball in 2018 but began competing seriously in 2023. Since then, she has quickly risen through the professional ranks, earning wins against some of the sport’s top players and establishing herself as one of the most consistent competitors on tour.

With a passion for both playing and teaching, Trang now resides in Orange County where she balances her professional career with her work as a coach.

Trang’s Coaching Style:

  • Trang specializes in breaking down the minute fundamentals of the game. Her coaching focuses on identifying small but meaningful adjustments that create big improvements in performance. By simplifying technical details and tailoring changes to each athlete, Trang helps her students unlock consistency, confidence, and long-term success.

Born and raised in Sacramento with a strong athletic background. Alex attended Sacramento State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology as well as a teaching credential for physical education.

Like many pickleball players Alex was asked to play a game with some friends during covid. From day one she was hooked. Alex quickly rose up the ranks and has been competing at the pro level, she is consistently advancing to the round of 16 on the APP tour.

With a love for coaching and the sport Alex recently moved to Orange County to pursue her professional pickleball career.

Alex’s Coaching Style:

  • Alex is able to explain strategy and pickleball in a different way than most coaches. She is able to break down the game in a way that anyone can understand. Her knowledge of pickleball has changed the thinking style of many players. This ultimately leads to leveling up her students games.

Jamie Haas

Originally from California and now based in Hawaii, Jamie discovered pickleball during the pandemic while working as a college tennis coach at Fresno State. With a lifelong background in tennis, she was immediately drawn to the strategy and fast pace of the game.

Jamie entered her first professional tournament just three months after giving birth to her third child, competing at the 2023 PPA Mesa Open. Since then, she has earned notable wins against some of the sport’s top players and has competed internationally at events such as MLP Australia and Global Sports India, where she captained her team to a Season 1 championship title.

Balancing her career as a professional athlete and mother of three, Jamie continues to train, compete, and coach in Honolulu.

Jamie’s Coaching Style:

  • Jamie brings her background as a college tennis coach into her pickleball teaching. She has a sharp eye for strategy and loves helping players learn how to construct points, stay patient under pressure, and use their strengths to take control of matches. Her coaching emphasizes positive energy and building confidence on the court.

Prycen Haas

Born and raised in Hawaii, Prycen grew up immersed in racquet sports and carried his passion for tennis into both playing and coaching. He graduated with a degree in Business and Sports Management and continues to serve as Director of Tennis at Mid-Pacific Institute.

Prycen picked up a pickleball paddle in 2022 and quickly transitioned into competing at the professional level, making his PPA Tour debut in 2023. In 2025, he was drafted into Major League Pickleball, further establishing himself as one of Hawaii’s rising pro athletes.

When he’s not competing, Prycen enjoys balancing his professional career with coaching and developing the next generation of players.

Prycen’s Coaching Style:

  • Prycen’s coaching reflects his easygoing but focused personality. He uses his background as a coach to read the game and teach players how to apply pressure at the right moments. Known as a true teammate, Prycen helps athletes develop patience, tactical awareness, and the ability to set up winning opportunities for themselves and their partners.
